    • Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation (MNPC) was incorporated as a company under the Prime Minister’s Department on 7 January 2011 and designated as a Nuclear Energy Programme Implementing Organisation (NEPIO) as recommended by the IAEA. MNPC is entrusted with the responsibility of planning, spearheading and coordinating the implementation of a nuclear energy development programme for Malaysia and to take the necessary actions to realise the development of the first nuclear power plant in Malaysia.

    • BATAN is Indonesia’s National Nuclear Energy Agency; it is an Executive Agency based in Indonesia as referred to in Indonesia Law Number 10 of Year 1997 on Nuclear Power, also in Indonesia Presidential Regulation No. 46. In 2013 BATAN is referred to as Non-Ministerial Government Institution responsible to the President via the Ministry of Research and Technology. BATAN has the task of carrying out Indonesian governmental duties in the field of research, development and utilization of nuclear science and technology in accordance to the provisions of the legislation.

    • The Malaysian Nuclear Society (MNS) is a non-governmental organization aiming at promoting the development and dissemination of information on nuclear science, engineering and technology (NuSET); providing objective views/ advice on matters relating to nuclear science, technology and its applications. MNS is also a key player in promoting cooperation among members and other organizations of similar objectives.

      It was formed as Nuclear Science Society (PersatuanSainsNuklear Malaysia, PESAN) in 1989, operating in the state of Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan (Kuala Lumpur), Malaysia.

      With the expansion of its members to more than seven states in Malaysia in 1994, it was renamed the Malaysian Nuclear Society (MNS).

      Currently, MNS enjoys the support of over 700 members in the government, private, and corporate sectors (as corporate member) and maintains two international linkages with the American Nuclear Society (ANS), the Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS) and Korean Nuclear Society (KNS).
